Tess Leak is a Baltimore-based artist and musician who was awarded an Artist Residency at Uillinn: West Cork Art Centre followed by a solo exhibition I shall make for my own castle in 2015. Tess graduated from the BA (hons) in Visual Art Degree Programme (TU Dublin), Sherkin Island in 2009, holds a BA in Philosophy and English from the University of Wales, Swansea, and is a graduate of the Curious School of Puppetry, London.

Tess often collaborates with composers, dancers, poets and puppeteers. She has been working on the Arts for Health team since 2010, developing a multi-disciplinary approach to participation. In 2019 she collaborated with puppeteer Eoin Lynch, composer Justin Grounds and participants in St. Joseph’s Unit, Bantry General Hospital to create Stories from the Well-Field, funded by an Arts Council of Ireland Arts Participation Award. Tess is co-curator of the Museum of Miniature which completed a tour of 7 off-shore Islands in 2017 and The Museum of Making and Mending co-created with Arts for Health participants. She plays the cello with the Vespertine Quintet.

Tess has very kindly donated her drawing Day 78: Listening to the Trees, which was made during the Covid19 lockdown 2020, to raise funds for Diversity Programmes at Uillinn.
